Autorenporträt
This is the second book from the author Gareth Coombs. His first book, 'Penelope Macintosh And The Mystery Of The Million Missing Socks', is a story about Penny who, with her magnifying glass, her notebook, pen and best friend Gregory Harry, solves mysteries and doesn't rest until the case is solved. Gareth addresses social issues and challenges that children will face in their life, in a fun and exciting way and will always have a hide and seek adventure on each page. 'Phil The Pooping Stupid Squid' is no different. Here he addresses bullying, marginalisation, hate crime and subtly touches on the pollution of our seas. The motivation for his writing is his four children. He must have spent a zillion hours reading to them over the years! Gareth has visited several schools; setting challenges for students and Penelope has been the basis for one particular (the school he went to!) school's theme work.
