What was the first Christmas like? Who was lucky enough to witness Jesus' birth? Philip's Real Christmas Story is a tale of what it was like through the eyes of a nine-year-old boy. Find out how he got to be one of the lucky few and catch a glimpse of what it all meant. "(Philip) tried as hard as he could to stay awake... But now his thoughts were becoming a blur and his eyelids very heavy. He was having trouble keeping his eyes open and when they were about to close for the last time... FLASH! There was a sudden, bolt of light that shown all around them! Philip, in one sudden movement, leaped up out of his blanket and grabbed for his father. His heart was racing and his eyes, because of the intense light, had trouble focusing... Their eyes gradually started to come into focus on a huge form, in the shape of a person with wings, hovering just over their heads. The bright light was radiating from the form. It was so bright the light from the campfire was no longer even visible... Finally a voice came from the light, 'Do not be afraid,' a big, resonating voice but peaceful in tone. The human eyes, now adjusted, could clearly see the angel's outline. With its peaceful voice, they slowly began to relax, a little. The angelic being continued, 'I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord.'" All ages with appreciate this story and makes for great family reading.
