A new approach to the formation of readers emerges. Based on philosophical hermeneutics, this book is part of a master's thesis and brings a curricular proposal for middle school students in Brazil. Considering the whole trajectory of hermeneutics, from its birth until the philosophical hermeneutics of Gadamer, this work suggests a new look for the teaching of reading, making it a discipline of the curriculum of secondary schools. The art and science of interpretation is now closer to the formation of the reader, contributing to the teaching-learning of reading with a focus on what history has always used as a tool for the construction of the interpretation of the text, hermeneutics.
