The paper aims to propose a reflection on the use of television series as an intervention strategy in the teaching of philosophy in high school. Although the issue of teaching philosophy is not conceived as one of the fundamental questions of the historical and traditional process of Philosophy, the philosophical exercise in the classroom cannot be neglected. Philosophy as a discipline can broaden the individual's performance inside and outside the school universe in different ways: searching for the understanding of reality, rethinking values and teaching crucial aspects of the evolution of human thought. Our study highlights, mainly, that the philosophy class in high school should be seen as a way of expanding the imagination and stimulating free thinking to, consequently, create a sensitivity towards human dramas that, initially, are considered strange. Such stimulus given to students for the practice of free thinking should be done in order to relate themes of their daily life, enabling an atmosphere that brings them closer to the works and thoughts of various philosophical authors.
