Autorenporträt
Sharin N. Elkholy is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Houston-Downtown. She studied psychology at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and received her PhD in philosophy from The New School for Social Research in New York City. Her research interests are in the intersections of phenomenology, ontology, and philosophy as a way of life. More recently, in her book Philosophy Wise and in the accompanying Philosopher's Deck, Sharin has worked to repurpose philosophical ideas as lenses to help people better understand, imagine and live their lives. She is also the author of Heidegger and a Metaphysics of Feeling: Angst and the Finitude of Being, and editor of The Philosophy of the Beats.
