The transition metal dichalcogenides, NbSe2 and NbS2, are layered compounds consisting of sandwiches with strong covalent/ionic interlayer bonds and weak van der Waals interlayer interactions. This book describes parameters like series and shunt resistance calculated using slope method, area method and deviation method for semiconductor electrodes prepared using MX2 crystals. These studies specify the selection of appropriate electrolyte for PEC work. "Photoelectrochemical studies of MX2 crystals (Part 3)" shows comparison of parameters calculated using different methods.
