Andy Long is an award-winning photographer and writer who devotes his photography to the beauty of the world around us. As a workshop leader since 1994, Andy likes helping people explore new areas and go home with a memorable experience along with great images in addition to having learned more about photography. As a professional photographer since 1982, Andy emphasizes a unique eye in capturing images of our world and passing this on to those who attend his workshops. Andy’s work has appeared in more than 40 publications and books as well as in a National Geographic television show. Among the places work has appeared include Birder’s World, Bugle, Outdoor Life, View (Germany), Colorado Outdoors, Alaska Magazine, Audubon field guides, National Wildlife Federation, Nature Photographer, Outdoor Photographer and in ads for Audubon. He is a past winner in the Audubon Top 100 Images of the Year, Audubon Share the View and Nature’s Best Wilderness Forever competitions along with being named RoseWater Network Photographer of the Year. He resides in Lakewood, CO.
