Autorenporträt
Jean M. Breny is Professor and Chair of the Department of Public Health at Southern Connecticut State University, New Haven, CT. She received her PhD in Health Behavior/Health Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2000) and her MPH in Community Health Education from San Jose State University (1994). She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in health promotion practice. Her scholarship, both domestically and globally, aims to eliminate health disparities through community-based participatory action approaches that inform public health practice through an understanding of how social and cultural factors affect individual health behaviors.
