Renewable energies are now emerging as vital sources of electricity production, obtained from inexhaustible sources such as "the sun, the wind, the heat of the earth, waterfalls, plants and tides". Given the technological advances of recent years, some of these alternative forms of electricity generation are becoming competitive with the depleting fossil fuels (oil, gas, and to a lesser extent, coal and uranium).This book is divided into five chapters arranged as follows: In the first chapter, we start with the components of the solar photovoltaic system. In the second chapter, we will see the principle of the phonon-current conversion. Then, a modeling and characterization in the dark will be presented in the third chapter. Then, in the fourth chapter, we will see the different imbalances in operation. Finally, we will present in the fifth chapter the methodology of dimensioning of photovoltaic systems.
