The lifestyle of adolescents in today's society is characterized by habits that are adverse to health, particularly low levels of physical activity and high rates of inadequate nutrition. In this sense, the content of the book addresses these two issues. Although the themes emphasized are aimed more at health professionals, the book is aimed at the general public. As far as its content is concerned, it begins with a survey of policies dealing with national and international guidelines on physical activity and nutrition in adolescence, which can be incorporated into the professional practice and/or lifestyle of other readers. Next, an ex-post-facto study with prospective data carried out by the authors of the book is emphasized in a descriptive and analytical way, with the methods used being reproducible in the empirical scientific field of the subject. Finally, there is an in-depth discussion which, in addition to dialoguing with the study's data, points to a locus for academic-professional approaches that choose to plan the same course in different time-spaces.
