Physical activity plays a key role throughout people's lives; however, its relationship with pregnancy has long been questioned. Although there is scientific evidence that corroborates the importance of physical activity during pregnancy, the levels of physical activity of pregnant women according to international studies are too low. The objective of this research was to evaluate the level of physical activity of pregnant women attending the Ciudadela Tomebamba Health Center, Cuenca 2021, by applying the Pregancy Physical Activity Questionnaire (PPAQ) to a sample of 32 pregnant women during the month of June 2021. The results obtained were worrisome in energy expenditure with an overall total of 166.54 METs min/week (normal value 600 METs min/week), being a low average of physical activity.
