The importance of the physical environment for classroom management in early childhood classrooms has not yet been fully recognized. The information collected in this study about teachers perceptions can be used to improve the physical environment of early childhood classrooms. Moreover, in the literature there is a lack of studies on early childhood teachers perceptions related to the physical environment for classroom management. Thus, this study aims to examine the perceptions of a group of early childhood teachers in relation to the influence of the physical environment of the classroom on classroom management. Lastly, since the recognition of the significance and impact of early childhood classrooms increase, the physical environment of these classrooms and its influence on classroom management should be determined to improve early education centers and programs.

She is working as a research assistant of Early Childhood Education at Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. She has worked as a preschool teacher for 2 years. Her research areas are Learning Environments, Classroom Management, Curriculum and Developmentally Appropriate Practice. She has some presentations and publications.
