Present work has been initiated with a view to obtaining a profile as to micellar characterization and aggregation of copper (II) soaps (caprylate, caprate and laurate) with 2-amino, 6-chloro benzothiazole in benzene plus methanol mixtures of varying compositions. The various physical properties (viz. density, molar volume, apparent molar volume, ultrasound, surface tension and fungicidal activity) of the system: CCplACB, CCprACB, CLrtACB, Complexes (copper soap plus substituted benzothiazole) in benzene plus methanol have been investigated, in order to find out the critical micelle…mehr

Present work has been initiated with a view to obtaining a profile as to micellar characterization and aggregation of copper (II) soaps (caprylate, caprate and laurate) with 2-amino, 6-chloro benzothiazole in benzene plus methanol mixtures of varying compositions. The various physical properties (viz. density, molar volume, apparent molar volume, ultrasound, surface tension and fungicidal activity) of the system: CCplACB, CCprACB, CLrtACB, Complexes (copper soap plus substituted benzothiazole) in benzene plus methanol have been investigated, in order to find out the critical micelle concentration, nature and size of the micelles formed and to test the validity of various equations under different conditions. The parameters pertaining to ultrasonic investigations provide revealing interpretations of complex-solvent interaction and structural insight of the micelles. The present study also gives an account of our understanding of several aspects of micelle formation of copper soap-complexes in the mixed non-aqueous solvents. Attempts have also been made to study the physico-chemical properties of Cu(II) soap-complexes in methanol + benzene solvent mixtures.
