The aim of this book is to highlight the importance of palliative care, especially with physiotherapy, in a patient with a clinical diagnosis of severe Alzheimer's. This is a clinical case report, in which the patient investigated has a diagnosis of Alzheimer's and is in the severe stage, in which a physiotherapeutic assessment was carried out in order to analyze muscle trophism, the patient's general history, the medications used, the time of diagnosis of the pathology, as well as the period in which he is bedridden. The treatment plan was based on the Palliative Care Manual. Although the condition remained unchanged, pain relief was observed during the treatment, as the patient's face appeared more serene to the therapeutic touch, without expressing behaviors that indicated discomfort or pain. Physiotherapy is therefore an important palliative care tool for patients with advanced Alzheimer's.
