The study investigated the cytotoxic and antioxidant properties of Glochidion ellipticum extracts at concentrations of 500 µg/ml and 1000 µg/ml. The results indicated significant cytotoxic effects of specific plant parts. The extracts demonstrated effective scavenging of free radicals, suggesting their potential for protecting against oxidative stress-related conditions. Natural antioxidants derived from plants were found to offer advantages over synthetic counterparts, emphasizing their therapeutic significance. The extracts exhibited significant radical scavenging capacity, highlighting their potential as free radical scavengers and antioxidants. The study underscores the cytotoxic and antioxidant potential of Glochidion ellipticum extracts, calling for further research to identify the specific bioactive compounds involved. These findings hold promise for the development of novel therapeutics and natural antioxidants from plant sources.
