The present study elicited the phytochemical screening, antimicrobial activity and antioxidant activity of Azolla. This study suggested that in Azolla found bioactive compounds which were isolated from it. These bioactive compound used in folk medicines. Moreover, the antimicrobial activity and antioxidant activity shown by the Azolla can be further used for development of potent antibiotics that would be active against drug resistant pathogens and also can be used for the development of agents active against oxidative stress.
