Ayurveda is considered as the "science of life," because the ancient Indian system of health care focused views of man and his illness. Conventional drugs usually provide effective antibiotic therapy; problem like antibiotic resistance are increased and new solutions are needed. Hence, now herbal drugs are being preferred to synthetic antibiotics. The use of herbs in dental practice is not limited to only material sciences. A single herb shows a variety of effects like anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal activity, and many more. Hence the incorporation of these herbs in dental practice will prove to be a valuable adjunct to dental treatment. Many research related to this field must be done in order to utilize the natural products which relatively have less side effects in comparison to the currently available Pharmaceutical drugs.
