Exposure to heavy metals is a common phenomenon due to their environmental pervasiveness. The present study was carried out to evaluate the effect of different concentrations of chromium on growth and physiological characters of sorghum genotypes. These results suggest that sorghum genotypes may be classified as tolerant (L14), moderately tolerant (Wad Ahmed, L32, and L34), moderately sensitive (Tabat, L4, L7, L12 and L25) and sensitive (L16) to chromium.
