Mel had found the questioning of herself to be endless. Most of all, it was withering her inner being and this consuming vacuum needed to stop. It would stop, she assured herself to fight through; the alternative was that she would simply stop, however this manifested itself. She longed for a partner, a soul mate. She deserved a partner. Mel knew she was always meant to be loved, but Sam, her now ex long-term boyfriend, decided otherwise one night, four years ago. Sam...and Rupert! WTF! WTF! The disintegration of her entire world had been quick, clinical and explosive that night. She screamed, listened, screamed more, cried and the dagger that had split her heart in two became fixed for a long time. The journey back to start again was long and difficult. Dating had changed beyond all recognition since the 1990s, thanks to technology, and swiping left or right was an art she would need to master to find the man she needed. The dating pool was like a magician's mind game; what was there, what could come out, was as varied as it was unusual, challenging, awkward, or profiles that were just a tale of total fantasy and fiction. With limited success, how could Mel succeed in her internet quest? Vulnerable, but yet in control of her destiny, should she dare herself and just swipe right on some geeky prospect she would normally avoid? Maybe that's where love could really be found? `Go on! Autorenporträt
Marion has now been writing for quite a few years and hopefully you have caught up with her first few books, the Lovedon series as an example. If you have already read these, don't worry; Marion still thinks there is another twist in this tale and has penned a few thoughts as she wrote this latest book. In terms of her background, the close knit community she shared with her parents and sibling were kind to her as she grew up, before finally taking the leap to administration duties in London when her experience of the daily commuter grind began. The after-work social scene was worth the hassle, let alone the elevated salary that came with it, enjoying many adventures in love before settling down, although there was not to be a 'happy ever after' just yet. Separation, divorce, grieving and re-engagement into the social scene and into dating have all been part of the kaleidoscope she calls her life. This second round of coupling reminded her a little of those first few years in London, when she began to discover herself and her physical and emotional needs. Can you reach middle age? Is there such a thing these days, and if so, how can you define this? Marion's middle age has not hampered her exploration of re-ignited love, sex and real companionship. Marion always maintained a diary, on and off. She extended this to a daily update after her initial separation, partly of the day's events, good and bad, but also of her inner feelings and the reaction of her friends and family as they evolved, and as her new love and desire exploded. Marion's diaries have many other revelations within them and Lovedon is only part of her story and the stories yet to be written.
