Small Western towns have traditions to uphold. There are always secrets to gossip about, and secrets to be kept hidden for countless years. Pie Town, New Mexico is such a small town, with many secrets and traditions. It is well known for its annual Pie Festival, and strict rules of conduct. Three of the town s high school graduates have lives that don t conform to the moral code expected of all inhabitants. A ten-year reunion of the high school graduating class reveals the hidden lives of the three, as well as some of the town s most respected residents. The Reunion Rodeo, and its horse/rider accident, bring to the reader (and maybe the community) a colorful basket of secrets about hidden lives. This novel explores the edges of both morals and taboos, with a colorful list of characters and their life-choices. But, how far can a sexual code be stretched and still be acceptable? Two Cowboys, and two Town Ladies have broken all the codes. Can they survive? This is a story about gay and lesbian lives of the 50 s and 60 s. Perhaps we will all remember some tales.
