John Walker Guss is the charter president of the Pierce County Historical and Genealogical Society and a sixth-generation descendant of the Walker family, one of the first families to settle in Pierce County. He brings to Pierce County, Georgia many never-before-seen photographs of its early inhabitants and the notable legacy they left behind. Made possible through diligent research, extensive travel, and fascinating conversations with present-day residents, this collection serves as a unique archival treasure and a tribute to the men and women who built this proud, historic community.
