Melissa K Mundell is an author and early childhood educator who was born in South Africa, grew up in England, and now lives in Canada. As a child she was enchanted by her dad's stories, and how drastically different his upbringing was from her own. His stories connected her to her roots and helped her to understand different cultures. She was inspired to turn those stories into a book after working with children and seeing how they internalized messages from the books she read them. When she isn't writing, Melissa loves walking her dog, mountain biking, skiing, and reading. She lives in Whistler, B.C., with her fiancé Chad and their dog, Trigger.
