Psychotherapist Jan Teague's personal and professional life is a mess. Downing more prescription drugs than most of her patients, she ends up being rescued from the floor of a coffee shop's restroom by a Buddhist cop, whose observations start her on a self help road to recovery. With the help of family, friends and estranged sportswriter husband Al, Jan and the teen escape and go on the run.
