RICHARD BRINSLEY SHERIDAN (1751-1816), born in Ireland, was known as a politician, playwright, poet, but most notably as the owner of the London Theatre Royal of Drury-Lane. Highly regarded by many, he was buried in Poets' Corner in Westminster Abbey as an honor to his life's work.
