The present research is a phenomenological study aiming to understand the socio-cultural relations of the population with the Ouro Verde soccer field and started from the following question: "What are the aspects of sociability generated by the soccer field of the Ouro Verde neighborhood?", To do so, we sought to understand the identities and the elements of belonging generated by the soccer field of the Ouro Verde neighborhood, besides identifying social practices generated from the identity elements and understand the lived experiences and the affective relations in the Ouro Verde, from that soccer field. To this end a semi-structured questionnaire was applied to twelve residents of the neighborhood who expressed in their speeches an intense feeling of belonging to the Ouro Verde field. All of them re-signified the space as a place of memories and endowed it with symbolic and cultural importance.
