The Plankton Population Dynamics in Challawa River, Kano-Nigeria is the first textbook that explains the plankton population dynamics in the Challawa River, Kano State, Nigeria. The book is a product of a field and laboratory research with details on how temperature, pH, turbidity, electrical conductivity, dissolved oxygen, biochemical oxygen demand, alkalinity, chloride, nitrate-nitrogen, orthophosphate, chromium, iron and lead affect diversity and density of phytoplankton and zooplankton species in the River. The study revealed the presence of 34 phytoplankton species belonging to chlorophyceae, cyanophyceae and bacillariophyceae, and 18 zooplankton species belonging to protozoa, copepoda, cladocera, rotifera and insecta. A number of recommendations were proffered in this book with the view to address the pollution menace in the River.
