Plant Diversity Status of the Kromme Peatland, E/Cape, South Africa

This study examined the current plant diversity status and the impact of drivers of change on the Kromme River peatland in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. Plant diversity were quantified using Shannon-Weiner index, while the influence of environmental variables was investigated using multivariate techniques. Land use dynamics were assessed by applying GIS techniques. Collins is a Ghanaian and hails from Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region. He attended Bolgatanga Secondary School. He graduated from Bagabaga Training College in 1998 and taught for two years. He has a BSc.(Hons) Renewable Natural Resources option in 2004 from Univ. for Dev't Studies and an MSc. Env'tal Science from Rhodes Univ. in South Africa.
