Among which, plant- parasitic nematodes are the most serious problems of the long-term perennial trees and vine crops. Consequently, the objectives of this work were designated to study the following aims of view: 1- Survey and seasonal fluctuations study on plant- parasitic nematode genera associated with fruit orchards in Ismailia Governorate, Egypt. 2- Identification of surveyed root-knot nematodes using perineal patterns and molecular biology (SCAR- PCR) techniques. 3- Pathogenicity study to determine the susceptibility of some banana cultivars to the root- knot nematode and use SDS-PAGE technique to show the differences in buffer soluble proteins extracted from the banana cultivars. 4- Study the efficacy of alternative control methods such as plant volatile oil extracts, organic amendments and biocontrol microorganisms, for root- knot nematode management comparing with nematicides.
