The effects of changing climate on common environment have been most significant over the years, especially upon the agricultural plants grown in such environmental conditions. Plants have evolved many resistant mechanisms to survive in these severe environmental conditions. Crop plants grown in the field are often subjected to waterlogging stress as a consequence of unexpected raining. To maintain the food demand of the rising population it is necessary to identify the factors associated with tolerance to waterlogging so that the formation of waterlogging resistant crops is easy for plant breeders.
