Jessica Maison is the writer of the Pistil comic series, praised for creating a new kind of superhero for sexual assault and trafficking survivors. Her speculative fiction has been published in Terraform. She has worked as a screenwriter and director and is a youth and homeless advocate. She grew up on Lake Michigan, and now lives in Los Angeles.
