This work deals with the automated code generation for real-time applications based on the Timing Definition Language (TDL), which specifies the timing behavior of real-time software components. We propose a generic plug-in architecture and two concrete code generator plug-ins for the INtime platform respectively an OSEK/VDX compliant real- time operating system. We also elaborate how to harness established commercially available code generators to support the TDL tool-chain.
