Kit Crumpton, a historical novelist, is the author of Raiding the Empire of the Sun: Tinian 1945 (2015) about B-29 Superfortress missions over Japan during WWII. The main character is based on her father. Her second book, The Fading of Lloyd (2017) is based upon her uncle, who was mentally challenged in the early twentieth century. Her third book, The Fading of Kimberly (2018) continues the story of the development of psychology, criminology, and psychiatry in the early twentieth century. Her fictitious character, Kimberly, is a beautiful narcissist who finds trouble. Kit believes a good book teaches history through good story telling. Kit has a Master of Science in Computer Science from New Mexico State University; a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from New Mexico State University; a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice from American University in Washington D.C.; and an Associate Degree in Police Science from Northern Virginia Community College. She has worked as a software, systems, and project engineer. She holds a Honeywell patent and is a graduate of Honeywell's Project Engineering Academy. Find her online at KitCrumpton.com.
