Vera West fell into a torrid love affair with creative writing in college and since then has written many novels and poetry collections examining the nature of love, redemption, cultural identity, social issues and the afterlife. Plucked is her first novel in verse, but likely not her last. A native of Michigan, she resides in the Midwest with her family and two rescue dogs.
