It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) west of Regimin, 12 km (7 mi) north-west of Ciechanów, and 87 km (54 mi) north-west of Warsaw. Gmina Regimin is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Ciechanów County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland. Its seat is the village of Regimin, which lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) north-west of Ciechanów and 85 km (53 mi) north of Warsaw. The gmina covers an area of 111.29 square kilometres (43.0 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 4,955. Masovian Voivodeship (also known as Masovia Province, or by its Polish name of województwo mazowieckie or simply Mazowieckie) is the largest and most populous of the sixteen Polish provinces, or voivodeships, created in 1999. It occupies 35,579 square kilometres (13,737 sqmi) of east-central Poland, and has 5.16 million inhabitants.
