It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) west of Paw owice, 20 km (12 mi) west of Pszczyna, and 40 km (25 mi) south-west of the regional capital Katowice. The village has a population of 548. Gmina Paw owice is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Pszczyna County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. Its seat is the village of Paw owice, which lies approximately 17 kilometres (11 mi) west of Pszczyna and 38 km (24 mi) south-west of the regional capital Katowice. The gmina covers an area of 75.77 square kilometres (29.3 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 17,667. Gmina Paw owice contains the villages and settlements of Golasowice, Jarz bkowice, Krzy owice, Paw owice, Pielgrzymowice, Pniówek and Warszowice.
