Podhorce [p t x rt s ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Werbkowice, within Hrubieszów County, Lublin Voivodeship, in eastern Poland. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) north of Werbkowice, 8 km (5 mi) south-west of Hrubieszów, and 100 km (62 mi) south-east of the regional capital Lublin. Gmina Werbkowice is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Hrubieszów County, Lublin Voivodeship, in eastern Poland. Its seat is the village of Werbkowice, which lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) south-west of Hrubieszów and 102 km (63 mi) south-east of the regional capital Lublin. The gmina covers an area of 188.26 square kilometres (72.7 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 10,111. Hrubieszów County (Polish: powiat hrubieszowski) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Lublin Voivodeship, eastern Poland, on the border with Ukraine. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998.
