Autorenporträt
Claire is a retired elementary school teacher with 36 years of experience. She ended her career with a Masters degree in Elementary Education and graduated with a minor in English. During her teaching career she wrote for a teacher's publication in which teachers found both humor and pertinent information in those times about education. While teaching, she especially enjoyed working with the students on writing and publishing their own books. The author also enjoyed writing raps, songs, and poetry that the students would perform during assemblies or talent shows. More recently Claire has become interested in the complexity of estrangement and how it effects the core of a family. She began writing poetry to ease her own personal grief and has decided to share her poetry with others. She has one son, three stepdaughters, and five grandchildren. She lives with her husband in a small village in Pennsylvania. They enjoy the beach, traveling, and antiquing together.
