Shasha was born Aiysha McKain in Brooklyn, NY, raised in Trinidad & Tobago. Fit for a queen as her mom kept her sheltered but busy from the Brooklyn streets causing her to have numerous accolades being honored with the Rockefeller scholarship, pageantry (former Ms. Congeniality), fashion, track runner, involved in peace activism mentored by Captn Dennis and more. Former alum of Long Island University and Jacksonville University, she is a Mastered prepared Registered Nurse Educator involved in community health & wellness. Along with advocating for peace she is committed to solutions that will improve health within communities that are plagued with stress due to lifestyle and systematic oppression. Shasha hopes that Poet True Night becomes a bridge to fostering meditation (timeout for thirty) and a healthy relationship with "self" ... a positive lifestyle change.
