It all began with nursery rhymes and bible stories my mother read to us. As I grew up, I was motivated by watching her write poems and lyrics. But, it was not until my last regimen of studies with Spartanburg Tech that I was discovered to be a writer. (2004) I was honored with a certificate of excellence and blue ribbon in the Celebrate the Arts competition. Later, I wrote a poem that won me an honorary position at the American Famous Poets Convention. Poetic Expressions, therefore, is a book of poems and prose-created with the intention of bringing added enlightenment and inspiration to the reading audience.
