An approachable, affordable, beautiful soft cover edition of original poetry and art. It began simply as a way to process trauma, loss and grief. Through healing and encouragement it grew to its present iteration, a unique reflection, thoughtful, spiritual and raw. A few years ago the author imploded his life in spiral of caregiver burnout, alcohol, loneliness and despair. This work of art and poetry chronicles my road back to health. Beginning in treatment, poetry and art were pivotal in processing the underlying emotions and issues that led to the break. While the work depicts my individual journey, the hope is anyone seeking healing from mental health issues, addiction and trauma will find commonality, hope and resonance. To start or continue your own path to healing and redemption. Much love and namaste.

Autorenporträt
About the Author, James Arnestad. In addition to art & writing, James makes his living as a paramedic first responder on an ambulance in the 911 system in Glendale, AZ. He is also a certified meditation teacher. He had a lengthy corporate marketing career as a Brand Manager and Marketing Manager with the requisite MBA degree from California State Polytechnic University. Additionally, he was fortunate enough to earn acceptance into and graduate from the US Coast Guard Academy and spent most of his 6 year operational career at sea on a medium endurance cutter. As highlighted in some of the work, he grew up as a nomadic military brat across the Middle East, Europe, Asia and is extensively traveled having walked on every continent including Antarctica. He's currently living a minimalist lifestyle in a tiny tear drop trailer as a self described bougie vagabond (who doesn't like nice stuff!). A passion for the arts, learning, adventure and all things outdoors he continues to create, read and pursue many athletic endeavors with Mia the adventure husky by his side.
