There's a poet inside every person but it needs to be encouraged and nourished. Poetry can be expressed in a variety of ways. You notice it right away in a variety of music genres. For the high achieving student or troubled student, poetry can bring the best features in a child. I encourage all teachers to have their students write their own poems and share them aloud. You will build camaraderie in your classroom, and your students will have a new appreciation for writing.

Autor

Brian Taylor has been an elementary school teacher in the Oceanside Unified School District for 32 years. He enjoyed writing stories beginning at the age of 10 and had always hoped to become an author at some point. Brian has always encouraged his students from every class to use their imagination to write their own stories.
