The following book will present the results obtained from an investigation carried out with female students of the Universidad Austral de Chile, Valdivia, who practice Pole Dance regularly, both inside and outside the house of studies, with a minimum time of three months in the sport discipline. In addition, texts and interviews with experts on the subject are incorporated, to relate the responses of the study group with the statements of different authors. The answers obtained by the participants of the research in three different instruments of data collection (Likert-type survey, discussion group and semi-structured interview) were analyzed, which show that the practice of this sport has generated positive repercussions in the self-image of the participants since their initiation in it. Likewise, it is deduced through the research that this sport is also positively related to their academic responsibilities and social relationships within higher education.
