Kate Baucherel is a writer, speaker, and digital strategist specialising in the application of emerging technologies, with a focus on the use of blockchain and cryptocurrency. She is the author of several non-fiction books including Blockchain Hurricane: Origins, Applications and Future of Blockchain and Cryptocurrency (BEP / Harvard 2020). The first SimCavalier novel came as something of a surprise, written in 2017 after a friend suggested that cybersecurity might be less dry as fiction. Cameron Silvera and the Argentum Associates team burst into life and their adventures continue. The first three books are now released as the HACKED trilogy. The sixth book in the series, and the second trilogy edition, are due to be published in 2024. Kate has a 3rd Dan black belt in karate and lives in the UK with her husband and children.
