Dereje Terefe Gemechu completed his PhD studies in Social and Public Policy in 2010, Jyvaskyla University (Finland). He served in the education sector for nearly 30 years.Currently,he is a lecturer at the Center for Public Policy Studies in the Ethiopian Civil Service University, Addis Ababa.
