The research arises from the problem of insufficient food production and the need to complement it through the use of the different subprograms of Urban Agriculture in the Calixto Popular Council. A communicational strategy is proposed to strengthen this program in the Calixto Popular Council of the Majibacoa municipality in Las Tunas province. Methods and techniques of the quali-quantitative methodology, participant observation, in-depth interview and questionnaire survey are applied. As a result, it is expected to achieve local self-sufficiency, contribute to municipal development and the formation of an agricultural, food and environmental culture oriented to food sovereignty endorsed in our constitution.
