The present reflection is part of the logic of the search for ways and means to solve the problem of African underdevelopment. It finds in Nyerere's thought elements capable of revolutionizing Africa. After having methodically dusted it off through an uncompromising critique, it medicalizes it and prescribes it against the political, economic and socio-cultural diseases that plague contemporary Africa. To bad governance, it prescribes ethics and objectivity; to idleness, the cult of hard work; to war, the spirit of fraternity; to capitalism, socialism; to identity crisis, the conversion of mentalities; to isolationism, pan-Africanism. In short, it advocates an endogenous path for the development of Africa.
