Autorenporträt
Frank S. Lucente was born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1945. His family moved to Fairmont, West Virginia, when he was two. He grew up and went to school there through college graduation. After serving in the military for three years, he moved to Huntington, West Virginia, to attend graduate school. Lucente married his wife, Betty, there in 1972. They raised three children in Huntington and moved to Waynesboro, Virginia, in 1990. Lucente served as a Councilman, Vice Mayor, and Mayor in Waynesboro, Virginia, over the course of eleven years. During that time, he became thoroughly acquainted with how local government is run. In this book, he shares experiences he had, lessons he learned, and insights into what is needed in the future.
