Dr. Kanchan Kumari is working as the Principal Scientist at CSIR-NEERI (National Environmental Engineering Research Institute) and as an Associate Professor at AcSIR (Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research). Being an active researcher in the field of chemicals and wastes especially in the domain of persistent organic pollutants (POPs), she has worked as the Alternate Contact Person of Stockholm Convention Regional Centre (SCRC) for Asia Region on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs). She has numerous peer-reviewed papers in international journals and has delivered various lectures and presentations in numerous national as well as international conferences. She has also represented India on behalf of Stockholm Convention Regional Centre for Asia Region on POPs in the Joint Meeting of the Conference of Parties to the Basel, Rotterdam & Stockholm Conventions (BRS COP-2019).
