This book addresses the development of flurbiprofen loaded composite microparticles for oral delivery. Poly( -caprolactone) is a hydrophobic polymer and known to release encapsulated active pharmaceutical ingredient over extended period of time. This polymer was blended with hydrophilic poly(vinylpyrrolidone) to enhance the drug release. Poly(vinylpyrrolidone) enhanced flurbiprofen release by creating pores in composite particles.
