Being different is hard. Instead of getting to know someone from the inside out, society shows us that we must mistreat, discriminate, judge, or stereotype people because they may look, act, or think differently than someone else. In Pope & Minister: Friends Against all odds, two strangers learn the true meaning of accepting others for who they are. They form a friendship that can't be broken. They rid themselves of stereotypes and judgement to learn from their differences and to build upon their strengths.

Autorenporträt
I have served in the education field for about 15 years now. During this time, I have seen how students with special needs and disabilities are discriminated against because of their handicap and/or the color of their skin. I was led to write this book because of the disparity in our society. I have and continue to work with youth from the ages of 7 and up, showing them that it is ok to be who you are and not what someone wants you to be, helping them to build confidence and self-worth for themselves. We must learn to accept others and learn from each other.
